Dr. Al Saadi is a Canadian board-certified ophthalmologist who subspecialized in Cornea, Cataract & Refractive surgery. He obtained his medical degree with distinction and honor from UAE University. He completed his residency training at McGill University, Canada from 2001 to 2006. During his training, he was awarded the first clinician prize in 2003 in McGill. He obtained a fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment from the
University of Montreal – Canada in 2007.
Dr. AlSaadi obtained an Executive Masters in Healthcare Administration in 2010 From Zayed University in Abu Dhabi with distinction and honor. He has served as the Chief Medical Officer at Zayed Military Hospital (ZMH).
He currently serves as a consultant and the Chairman of Ophthalmology department at Zayed Military Hospital (ZMH) – Abu Dhabi – UAE. At ZMH, He established the Cornea transplant program in 2008 and introduced the up to date cornea and cataract procedures.
He is the director of Ophthalmology residency in Abu Dhabi and actively involved in teaching and academics.
Dr. Al Dhaheri is Cornea, Cataract & Refractive Surgeon at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain –UAE. She obtained her medical degree from UAE University and completed her residency training at combined king Saud University and Saudi Board in ophthalmology in 2013. She had her subspecialty training at King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh- KSA, where she joined two-year fellowship program from 2014-2015.
Omnia Hamam, MD, DES is a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Zayed Military Hospital. Fellowship in Glaucoma and Retina from Pierre and Marie Curie University Paris. A French board certified, worked during 5 years in different university hospitals in Paris.
Followed by 2 years in Quinze Vinghts hospital – as a fellow, the second biggest eye center in Europe. She was apart from the research team in ocular surfaces and glaucoma disease. She obtained four University Diplomas such: DU in Glaucoma 2015; DIU in Retinal Imaging and Pathology 2014; DIU of Neuro Opthalmology 2012-2013; DIU Ocular Inflammation and infection 2009-2010.
She has the eagerness to learn more particularly in Ocular Imaging. Through her capabilities, she is performing a series of courses and workshops about Ocular Imaging Techniques and Interpretation, Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography in Retina, Ocular Echography, the Visual field of Retina, Optic Nerve Imaging, Ocular Radiology etc.
Dr. Issa is Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal surgeon at Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi. Received Kirwan Medal and Prize in Ophthalmology University College Dublin in 1999. Graduated with honors from University College Dublin in 2000. Received higher ophthalmology training in the UK. Worked as locum vitreoretinal surgeon at James Cook University Hospital, UK. Was locum clinical lead of the Diabetic Retinopathy Programme in the Teeswide region, UK and a member of the Teesside Retinal Screening Board. Member of the editorial board for World Journal of Ophthalmology and International Journal of Ophthalmology and Eye Science (IJOES). Reviewer for the retina section for Eye, Clinical Ophthalmology, World Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Postgraduate Medicine, IJOES, Saudi Journal of Ophthalmology.
Graduated from Ain Shams University – undergone residency of ophthalmology in one of MOH hospitals in Cairo under the supervision of Ain Shams University staff after granted Master degree in ophthalmology – moved to the Research Institute of Ophthalmology as a specialist ophthalmologist.
Granted fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002.
Moved to UAE and started working in Al Ain Hospital in 2006 – Ophthalmology Department -for 8 years – appointed as clinical assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
Finally appointed to Zayed Military Hospital in 2015 as a Specialist Ophthalmologist
Dr. Maysoon al Karam is a medical retina specialist. She obtained her MSc in clinical ophthalmology from university college of London (UCL), Institute of Ophthalmology in 2013. She completed a fellowship in medical retina at the royal free hospital and Whittington hospital in UK-London in 2015.
Dr. Maysoon has an MSc in health care management from the royal college of the surgeon ( RSCI), as well as the American board of medical quality (ABMQ).
Habibullah Eatamadi, MD FRCSophthEdin is Chief division and Consultant oculoplastics and Orbital surgeon, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
He has done his postgraduate training in Oculoplastic and orbital surgery at Nottingham University hospital and London Western Eye Hospital, UK. Dr. Eatamadi’s main subject of interest is medical and surgical management oculoplastics and orbital diseases of the eye. He has a special interest in thyroid eye disease, orbital immunological diseases and orbital tumors in UAE.
In 2008 he joined Tawam hospital where he established the first Oculoplastics and Orbital Service in any UAE government hospital. In September 2011 he transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi. At SKMC he continued to develop this service and currently Sheikh Khalifa Medical City’s one of the main referral centers for oculoplastics and orbital surgery for all SEHA facilities as well as form other UAE Emirates. He has established – together – with the endocrinologists at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City joint thyroid-ophthalmology clinic where all those patients who need special attention are evaluated and treated. In addition, Dr. Eatamadi has a special interest in pediatric and adult immunological diseases of the eye and he does a joint clinic with the immunologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. Dr. Eatamadi is the program director of the residency program and is actively involved in teaching the residents.
Rawdha Al Nuaimi, MBBS, IBSc, was born in Abu Dhabi, UAE in Dec 1989. She graduated with a High School Diploma from Choueifat school. She earned her medical degree and intercalated Bachelors of science in primary healthcare from University College London 2014. After graduation, she completed her foundation medical training in the UK where she worked in medical and surgical specialties in East Anglia, UK. She chose to return to Abu Dhabi to pursue her residency training in Ophthalmology. She is currently completing her residency in Sheikh Khalifa Medical city, UAE with an interest in pursuing pediatric ophthalmology.
